Electrical and AFM Structural Studies of a Humidity Sensors Based on Keratin (Human Hair)

چکیده

In this paper we present a humidity sensor based on keratin which is present in human hair. Noting keratin’s ability to absorb humidity and undergo structural changes, we studied the change in its electrical properties as a function of humidity and temperature. The electrical properties change due to the change in water percentage in keratin as well as due to volumetric changes. The volumetric changes were studied using a Multimode AFM.
